Washington County Clerk's Office
2008 FINANCIAL CAMPAIGN REPORTS
House Bill 29, passed by the legislature in the 2008 General Session, became law effective May 5, 2008. This law requires any Financial Campaign Reports filed in Washington County to be posted on the internet.
Washington County will post the candidate's financial disclosure on our county website, within seven (7) days after the report is filed.
Washington County will also provide this link to the Utah State Election's office for all local, state and multi county candidates.
Any candidate who does not comply with Financial Campaign report laws, dates for reporting, will be subject to removal from the ballot. (financial reporting dates)
2008 FINANCIAL CAMPAIGN REPORTING DATES
MAY 15, 2008 (for state school board officials ONLY)
JUNE 17, 2008 (7 days BEFORE the regular primary election date) *
AUGUST 31, 2008 *
OCTOBER 28, 2008 (7 days before the regular general election date) *
JANUARY 10, 2009 (year-end)
*Note: Failure to timely file financial campaign disclosures will result in disqualification
Reports by LOCAL candidates can be emailed to melanie.abplanalp@washco.utah.gov, faxed to 435-634-5763, mailed to or, copied and dropped off at the County Clerk's office at 197 E Tabernacle St, St George, UT 84770
Reports by STATE candidates must be sent to the Lt Governor's office as instructed by the web site.
ALL reports must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on the due date.
